2. General information

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

We process personal data only where necessary to operate and secure this website, communicate with visitors, provide our newsletter, or use services for which you have given consent.

Depending on the processing activity, the legal basis may be your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, processing necessary for contractual or pre-contractual purposes under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Papaki, a brand of ENARTIA Single Member S.A., Greece.

When you access this website, the hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical information required to deliver and secure the website. This may include:

  • IP address
  • date and time of access

  • technical request and error information

This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure, stable and functional website pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server log data is retained only for as long as necessary for operation, security and troubleshooting, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

4. Cookies and consent management

This website uses cookies and similar technologies.

We use Complianz to manage cookie and service consent. Complianz stores technically necessary information relating to your consent preferences so that your choices can be remembered.

Optional cookies, external content and non-essential technologies are not activated until you have given the relevant consent, where consent is required.

Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide the website or a service explicitly requested by you may be used without consent where permitted by law.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings available on this website.

More detailed information about the cookies and services used on this website is available in our Cookie Policy.

5. Newsletter and Mailchimp

You can voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter.

We use Mailchimp, a service provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, part of Intuit, to manage and send newsletters.

When you subscribe, we process your email address and any additional information that you voluntarily provide for the purpose of sending information about the Greek Theater Festival in Berlin and related activities.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link contained in our newsletters or by contacting us.

Depending on our Mailchimp configuration, newsletter interactions such as opens or clicks may also be measured. Where consent is required for such processing, this processing is carried out only on that basis.

Mailchimp is based in the United States. Personal data may therefore be processed outside the European Economic Area. Mailchimp provides contractual and other recognised safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Newsletter data is generally retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Embedded Instagram content

This website contains embedded content from Instagram, a service of Meta.

Instagram content may include embedded posts, images or other social media content.

Embedded Instagram content is blocked until you have given the relevant consent through our cookie settings.

If you activate Instagram content, a connection to Meta may be established. Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and information about the page you are visiting may be transmitted.

If you are logged into Instagram, Meta may be able to associate your interaction with your Instagram account.

For users in the European Economic Area, the relevant Meta entity is generally Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

The legal basis for loading this content is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, §25(1) TDDDG.

7. Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts for the display of fonts.

Where technically possible, Google Fonts are provided locally from our own hosting environment. When fonts are loaded locally, no connection to Google is required solely for displaying those fonts.

If a font is loaded directly from Google servers due to the technical configuration of the website, your browser may establish a connection to Google and transmit technical information such as your IP address.

Where external loading requires consent, the relevant resource is activated only after you have given consent.

8. Google Maps

Individual pages of this website may contain content provided by Google Maps.

Google Maps content is blocked until you have given the relevant consent through our cookie settings.

If you activate a Google Map, a connection to Google servers may be established. Technical information such as your IP address, browser information, device information, the requested page, date and time may be processed by Google.

The legal basis for loading Google Maps is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, §25(1) TDDDG.

9. Google reCAPTCHA

Certain functions of this website may use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the website against automated access, spam and abuse.

Where reCAPTCHA is used, it is blocked until the required consent has been given through our cookie settings.

reCAPTCHA may process technical and session-related information in order to determine whether an interaction originates from a human user or an automated system.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, §25(1) TDDDG.

10. Google services and international transfers

Google services used on this website may be provided by Google Ireland Limited and related Google companies.

Data may in certain circumstances be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google states that it uses recognised mechanisms for international data transfers, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and other safeguards where applicable.

11. Contact by email

This website does not currently provide a contact form.

If you contact us directly by email, we process the information contained in your message, including your email address and any information you voluntarily provide, in order to respond to your enquiry.

Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to general enquiries.

Correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary to process your enquiry and fulfil applicable legal obligations.

12. No web analytics

We currently do not use Google Analytics or another web analytics service to analyse visitor behaviour.

The use of individual Google services such as Google Fonts, Google Maps or reCAPTCHA does not mean that Google Analytics is used.

13. Recipients of personal data

These may include:

  • Papaki / ENARTIA for hosting

Longer retention may apply where required by law or where data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Where processing is based on consent, personal data is generally no longer processed for that purpose after consent has been withdrawn, unless another legal basis permits or requires continued retention.
